I leave for South Africa on Saturday! I will be flying from OKC to Alanta then straight to Jo'berg. I arrive on Sunday at 5:00 pm in Africa (9:00 am Sunday here). I will hopefully be checking into my room at the University of Pretoria that evening. Still waiting to hear back from the school on that...
I am spending my last few days here with my family and friends. Eischens with all my friends on Tuesday night and wrapping things up in Tulsa the rest of the week. My family and I will be going to dinner and to see Invictus Friday night. A great send off! Finally got skype going with the family. That will help the transition greatly! Gotta love technology.
Meanwhile, I am waiting (not so patiently) for my visa and passport to return...
At least the woman I spoke with at the consulate office in Chicago knew my specific details without me telling her, so I guess I'll believe her when she said I will have it by Thursday. Cutting it a little close!
